Most of Chandler is served by SRP (Salt River Project) for electric utility. SRP’s Cool Cash rebate program provides rebates for qualifying high-efficiency central AC or heat pump replacements: $75 per ton for single-stage systems, $150 per ton for multi-stage, and $225 per ton for variable-capacity systems. The program runs through April 30, 2027, and applications must be submitted within 6 months of installation. APS Customers

Some Chandler households are served by APS (Arizona Public Service) rather than SRP. As of January 1, 2026, APS discontinued its residential energy-efficiency rebate programs, including HVAC rebates, following an Arizona Corporation Commission decision. APS customers may still qualify for the Efficiency Arizona HEAR program if income-eligible. Efficiency Arizona (Federal HEAR Program)

The federal Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate (HEAR) program is available in Arizona through the state-administered Efficiency Arizona program for households at or below 150% of Area Median Income. Qualifying households may receive rebates on heat pump installations and may be able to combine those rebates with SRP Cool Cash where both apply. Federal Programs for 2026
